Consortium members from WP1 and WP3 met in person on 3 and 4 November at the Hilton Hotel Schiphol Airport. WP1 focuses on the burden of infection diseases in ageing adults (50+) while WP3 focuses on vaccine impact assessment and the economic value of vaccination in ageing adults.
The aim of the meeting was to have a joint work package discussion to identify gaps, challenges and opportunities for integrating the deliverables in WP1 into WP3. Epidemiology and health economic modelling of interventions in older adults were discussed and how both work packages can coordinate the work more effectively to make optimal use of each other’s knowledge.
It was a successful meeting and will most likely be followed up next year in Serbia, if the situation around Covid-19 stabilizes.
“After 18 months of working from home, and with people leaving and joining the project, it was so nice to see everyone’s smile in person. We accomplished quite a lot.”
