Work Package 5 – the Grant Management team – in collaboration with the Communications and Events team at Ecraid organized the VITAL Symposium and last General Assembly on 7-8 November 2024.
The meeting brought together experts and researchers involved in the project and discussed about tackling the pressing issue of infectious diseases in older adults aged 50 and above.
This was a great opportunity for all the partners and beneficiaries to come together and discuss not only project results, but also the sustainability of VITAL within Ecraid.
Building on the foundations of COMBACTE and PREPARE, Ecraid – the European Clinical Research Alliance on Infectious Diseases advances clinical research in the field of infectious diseases by coordinating Europe’s largest academia-driven, self-sustainable ‘warm-base’ clinical research network.
Currently, there is a core group of scientists working on presenting the major findings from VITAL in Europe, finding the scientific gaps of the project, and finding ways to implement the results to make an impact in Europe.
VITAL Website
The VITAL website will continue to be available for another few years, providing information on the project and new developments such as an education platform for healthcare providers and new publications.
Final Reporting
The WP5 team is currently working on collecting all input for the final reporting. Some of the results will also be available on the EU’s Horizon Results Platform.
Work Package 5 supports the VITAL consortium with efficient grant and project management activities.
