In collaboration with the University of Hasselt, VITAL WP3 conducted a contact matrix study that highlighted the importance of heterogeneity in contact behavior patterns within the population by age and health conditions. The study revealed the relationship between participants’ frailty conditions and their contact behavior. Results highlighted the need for tailored public health interventions and for similar research to be conducted in different countries.
The VITAL project has received funding from the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 806776. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and EFPIA.
